Fully Welded Plate Heat Exchanger (PSHE)

Vahterus PSHE is a fully welded plate heat exchanger. This means that the heat-transfer plates are welded together with no need for an external gasket. Gasketed plate heat exchangers are suitable for many applications, but are limited in terms of temperature and pressure, coupled with the fact that there is always a risk of gasket failures and/or permeation. The same risks apply for semi-welded plate heat exchangers. With Vahterus PSHE, the risk of gasket failure is eliminated.

The plate pack within the shell of Vahterus PSHE is composed of a series of circular plates welded together around the perimeter and the port holes.

This robust fully welded plate pack construction is installed in a cylindrical pressure vessel, which ensures absolute safety for users without compromising the heat transfer.

The plate welding is done in fully automatised welding lines, where the quality can be effectively and accurately controlled throughout the process.
